Methodology
Source
Figures are built from commercial vehicle listings entered into live trade auctions through VanAuctions.com and the wider EAMA Group auction platform.
What is a "guide price"?
A guide price is the reserve set on a live listing at the time it was entered into auction. It is not a sold price, hammer price, or sale result. We never publish sold status, bid counts or bidder information.
Aggregation
Listings are grouped by calendar month (using lot end date, or sync date where an end date is unavailable) and by segment: make, model, body type, vehicle age band, mileage band, fuel type and region. We report the median, interquartile range (P25–P75), mean, minimum and maximum guide price for each segment.
Sample thresholds
A segment is only published once it reaches a minimum of 10 listings in that period. Segments below this threshold are withheld to avoid unreliable or identifiable figures. Every published figure shows its sample size and last-updated date.
Anonymisation
No individual lot, seller or buyer is identifiable in any published figure. Only aggregated statistics across a minimum-sample segment are shown.
Update frequency
Underlying statistics are recomputed nightly; new monthly figures typically settle once a month has fully closed.
Limitations
- Guide prices reflect reserves set by sellers, not confirmed sale outcomes.
- Segments with fewer than 10 listings are not published, so some makes, models or regions may have gaps.
- Figures reflect vehicles entered into the EAMA Group auction network and are not a whole-market index.
